About OEM & ODM

How can I get a quotation?

Please provide product model, dimensions, basis weight, natural or white color, lamination/spray coating requirement, fluorine-free requirement, estimated order quantity, target export market, and LOGO/mold development needs. We will send a full quotation within 24 working hours, excluding weekends and statutory holidays.

What is your production lead time?

For products with existing molds, production starts after deposit receipt. Lead time depends on product type and quantity. New ODM tooling requires extra time for mold fabrication and sample confirmation. The exact schedule will be stated in the formal quotation. Ocean transit time will be estimated separately based on destination country.

What are your payment terms?

A production deposit is required for regular orders, and the balance shall be settled before shipment.

What shipping methods are available?

Sea freight is our main solution, with Qingdao Port as the main loading port. Our standard term is FOB Qingdao. Custom logistics solutions can be arranged for special requirements.

How to guarantee long-term stable cooperation?

We own our production base with stable capacity and complete supply chain. Full-process quality inspection and pre-shipment random check are implemented. We support annual forecast scheduling to reserve production capacity. If quality issues occur, we will quickly negotiate solutions upon receiving photo and video evidence. We also keep track of updates to overseas regulations, and notify customers of certification and process changes in advance to avoid market risks.

Are you a manufacturer or trading company?

We are a direct manufacturer with our own factory, mold workshop and molded pulp production lines. Factory visits and video inspections are available. Diyuan Packaging is the overseas sales entity of Quanlin Straw Packaging Technology.

What core advantages do you have over competitors?

We have a complete industrial chain and independent product development capability. In-house mold manufacturing enables fast ODM customization. We master spray coating and lamination for high-barrier applications. We hold a full set of European food contact and composting certificates. Large-scale production capacity supports both bulk orders and small & medium custom orders.

Is compostable always better than recyclable?

They serve different scenarios and neither is absolutely superior. Compostable products work well for single-use takeaway and catering applications, which break down in industrial composting facilities. Recyclable options are more suitable for reusable items. You may select solutions based on local regulations, end-use scenarios and waste management systems. We can provide recommendations according to your target market.

How should compostable products be disposed of?

Industrially compostable products degrade only in industrial composting facilities. Home-compost certified items can decompose in home compost environments. Do not discard them casually in natural surroundings. Please follow local waste sorting rules.

What are the advantages of eco molded pulp products compared with conventional plastics?

Raw materials are sourced from renewable plant straw instead of fossil oil. Qualified products can be industrially composted to reduce plastic waste. Custom shapes are available, complying with plastic restriction rules across many countries and helping brands build a green image. Some performance features can be enhanced by spray coating and high-barrier lamination.

How to make disposable tableware more eco-friendly?

Prioritize renewable plant fiber raw materials. Select compost certifications matching your target market. Optimize basis weight to cut raw material consumption and reduce plastic packaging. Choose suitable products according to local waste treatment systems, and avoid unnecessary over-engineered processes.

What customization services can you offer?

1. OEM: Products with existing molds, custom printed customer LOGO and outer packaging.

2. ODM: New mold development for custom shape and dimensions.

3. Process customization: Adjust spray / lamination to achieve targeted water & oil resistance.

4. Formula adaptation: Tune product formulas to meet regulatory requirements of different target markets.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM: We use our existing mature molds. You only print your own brand. Low investment and friendly MOQ.

ODM: We develop brand-new molds and exclusive product designs based on your ideas or drawings. Tooling cost is required and MOQ is higher.

What is your MOQ?

MOQ is low for OEM orders using existing molds. New ODM tooling projects require a higher minimum order quantity. MOQ varies by product structure. Please tell us your target product for an accurate value.

Can I get samples before placing orders?

Samples are available. Stock samples can be delivered quickly. Custom samples are charged with sample cost and courier freight. Part of the sample fee can be refunded after bulk order confirmation.

About Molded Pulp Tableware

Q: What molded pulp tableware products do you supply?

A: Our molded pulp tableware range covers plates, bowls, food containers, cutlery, sushi boxes, burger boxes, cold chain trays, medical protective trays and more. Suitable for catering, supermarket, hotel, banquet and cold chain applications.

Q: What raw materials are used?

A: We use natural plant fibers including straw, bamboo pulp and bagasse pulp as raw materials, with no harmful additives. Products meeting relevant standards can be industrially composted.

Q: What temperature range can the products withstand?

A: Standard molded pulp tableware works within -20℃ ~100℃. Heat resistance can be further improved for high-barrier treated products.

Q: Do you distinguish between industrial composting and home composting?

A: Yes. Some products only meet industrial composting standards, while a few hold home composting certificates. Please advise your target market requirements before order placement.

Q: Will molded pulp tableware leak water or oil?

A: Plain natural molded pulp has limited water and oil resistance. For higher barrier requirements, spray coating or laminated high-barrier treatment is recommended.

Q: Are the products safe for microwave, oven, refrigerator and freezer?

A: Plain pulp products are safe for refrigeration and freezing. Microwave suitability depends on surface treatment, please refer to product specs. They perform well in fridge and freezer, no deformation or leakage under low temperature.Microwave: Laminated / spray-coated items support short-time heating up to around 100℃. Long-time high-power heating is not recommended.Oven: Standard molded pulp is not suitable for high-temperature baking. Custom high-temperature resistant laminated formula allows short baking, please inform us of your temperature limit in advance.Note: Uncoated base pulp cannot bear heavy oil or water; it may soften and leak in microwave. Our food-grade laminated or spray-coated items have better oil resistance.

Q: What precautions should be taken during use?

A: 1. Temperature: Do not heat for extended time beyond the marked temperature limit.

2. Contents: Suitable for hot meals and soup. Long-term storage of high-oil, strong-acid hot food is not recommended, as penetration may occur over time.

3. Storage: Keep products dry and away from moisture. Avoid heavy stacking to prevent deformation.

4. Single-use only; repeated washing and reuse is not allowed.

5. Compostable variants degrade in industrial composting facilities; natural degradation at home is very slow.

Q: How about the closure and sealing performance?

A: Our matched molded pulp lids and containers are integrally molded for tight closure, which stays secure during normal transport. However, sealing performance is inferior to plastic products. They are not suitable for liquid soup takeaway and cannot achieve 100% sealing.

Q: What plastic tableware can molded pulp replace?

A: It can replace most disposable food-contact plastic tableware, including PP containers, takeaway boxes, plastic trays, bowls, lids, food containers, fresh produce trays, lunch boxes and fruit & vegetable packaging. It is widely used in food takeaway, supermarket fresh food, airline meals, ready meals and food packaging, complying with plastic reduction and plastic ban regulations in Europe and America.
